Fremont Partnership Walk hopes to draw more than 1,000 - San Jose Mercury NewsOrganizers say last year’s Partnership Walk in Fremont was so successful, they decided to bring the annual event back to the East Bay. The San Francisco Partnership Walk will return to Lake Elizabeth Oct. 14 in the continued effort to end global poverty.

The walk is an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. to raise awareness and funds that reduce poverty, hunger, illiteracy and poor health in Africa and Asia. In 2011, the event raised more than $150,000, attracting more than 1,000 participants from all over the Bay Area.
