Fatima Jaffer: “Compassionate Eating” – exploring how our food choices define our relationship to God, the earth and each other!

Excerpt: The attendees heard Fatima Jaffer’s story of connecting to her roots in Mombasa, Kenya. Fatima, a senior at the International School of the Americas, traveled to the Chungamwe District to teach elementary age children how to grow their own food; and to participate in installing of a pump at a well, the source of water supply to their homes.

Fatima and her father Bob Jaffer also talked about the Aga Khan Foundation’s “Partnership Walk 2012” scheduled on October 6, the first of its kind in San Antonio, drawing attention on world poverty and the need to help. (Please read my upcoming Blog on the Partnership Walk)
