This talk summarizes the genesis and key recommendations of the Lancet Commission on Education for Health Professionals in the 21st Century (2010). Dr. Bhutta will share some thoughts on the issues and challenges that face schools of public health and programs in global health, as well as how the Lancet Commission proposes to create an enabling environment to help address them.
