I am very happy to see India took a lead on Focus-India Walk. I wish to Congratulate all FOCUS India volunteers.
Here in North American we have Parthership Walk, The Partnership Walk is an initiative of AKF USA and Canada, and its’ network of volunteers in communities across north America. It is a unique event that is primarily focused on raising public awareness about alleviating global poverty and taking action to improve the lives of disadvantaged communities in Africa and Asia. AKF USA/Canada supports programs in health, education and rural development and promotes self-help programs with local communities and grassroots organizations so they may develop their own long-term solutions.
Partnership Walks are organized in over 25 cities throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom by the Foundation’s active network of volunteers.
More information about the Foundation and the Aga Khan Development Network can be viewed at the website: http://www.akdn.org.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!
