Mohammed Umair has been greatly influenced by Ranbir Kapoor’s recent blockbuster Rockstar. Neither for his acting skills nor the script but for “the movie has successfully shown a ‘certain’ side of where I live, the Nizamuddin basti.” What turns out to be a blessed haven for Ranbir after he is thrown out by his family has, in fact, been a driving force since years for many locals like Umair in the Basti.
