Hanan Dhanani, Age 20, Delegate Girls 20 Summit in Paris

Hanan is entering her fourth year at Queen’s University where she studies Economics. She has been a leading member of a variety of university initiatives, including Vice President of Queen’s International Affairs Association, Director of the Global Passport Internship Fair, Executive Director of Queen’s International Crisis Simulation Conference, and Executive Director of Queen’s International Development Conference. Hanan currently works for the Government of Canada as an assistant to the Census Canada Supervisor.

With an organization called Operation Groundswell, Hanan also went on a unique trip to India where she and her peers developed their own sustainable programs within the surrounding community. After a series of challenges, Hanan was able to successfully implement a series of microfinance workshops within the surrounding villages of Chennai.
Hanan is constantly trying to change the world for the better and views the G(irls)20 Summit as the perfect opportunity to further her contribution towards the girls and women of the world.
