Hundreds took time out of their day to raise about $140,000 for international development projects at the World Partnership Walk at Major’s Hill Park.
The Aga Khan Foundation Canada was the beneficiary of that money, fighting poverty around the world.
“100 per cent of the funds go to the development projects themselves,” said Salim Fakirani. “There is no administration cost.”
These totals are added to the thousands raised to rescue local dogs with the Woofs and Wags Walkathon and the $334,000 from Saturday’s Underwear Affair.
