Documentation of Nabila Daredia’s Study Abroad Experience in Bali, Indonesia

My name is Nabila Daredia. I am a 22-year old Senior at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I am pursuing a major in Fiber and minors in Art History and Culture – Politics. I will graduate in the Spring of 2012 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

I will be traveling abroad this spring for the first time on my own to conduct a field study in Bali, Indonesia.

From February 2nd – May 22th, 2011, I will be attending the study abroad program “Indonesia: Art, Religion, and Social Change” through the School of International Training (SIT). There are four components to every SIT program: cultural immersion, homestays, language intensive, and a culminating independent field study project.

This blog will record my application process, pre-departure process, as well as each of the four components mentioned above for the duration of my stay.
