Aman Adatia on Dar es Salaam, Tanzania street foodThe smell of nyama choma (Swahili for roasted meat), ndizi choma (roasted sweet bananas) and various other local delights gave my lungs a much-needed break from car fumes. We sat down, ordered a round of Mountain Dew’s (HAHA!) and went to work on a belt loosening amount of mishkaki and ndizi choma.

Mounds of fresh-cut chips went alongside our feast and let me tell you… it was AMAZING! Who would have thought that two seemly simple dishes could blow ones mind?
