Reporter Salim Jiwa takes the helm at Indo-Canadian VoiceSURREY – Veteran journalist Salim Jiwa has joined The Voice Newpaper Group as Executive Editor. Jiwa has been part of the Canadian and global journalism scene for over 30 years and was a pioneer Indo-Canadian reporter when he joined the mainstream media in 1979 after a stint at the weekly White Rock Sun where he began his long and distinguished career in 1976.

Jiwa worked with The New Westminster Columbian, The Vancouver Courier, BCTV, The Abbotsford News, The Edmonton Sun and The Vancouver Sun before joining The Province as a senior investigative reporter. He left the Province after working there for 25 years.
