Following exhibitions across Europe that attracted over half a million visitors, a new selection of masterpieces from the Aga Khan Museum is on display at Istanbul’s Sakıp Sabancı Museum. The exhibition, consisting of artworks from the private collection of The Aga Khan and his family, aims to show how the art of the Islamic world has evolved over time. The exhibition has been organized in collaboration with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture
The exhibition “Treasures of the Aga Khan Museum,” which features artworks from across the Islamic world, from Indonesia to Sicily and Andalusia to China, opened Friday at Istanbul’s Sakıp Sabancı Museum, or SSM.
