(Hoover, AL) WIAT- On October 2, 2010 Hoover was one of several U.S. cities to host a Partnership Walk to help end global poverty.
The annual fundraiser for the Aga Khan Foundation is meant to raise awareness of global poverty and enough money to make a difference. This year organizers say more than 1700 people took part in the Birmingham Partnership Walk which raised more than $190,000.00 for poverty alleviation projects.
