Children’s Safe Drinking Water: Follow-up to Aga Khan Foundation and PSI Kenya’s Work Reveals Mama Riziki is a Loyal PUR Consumer

Children's Safe Drinking Water: Follow-up to Aga Khan Foundation and PSI Kenya’s Work Reveals Mama Riziki is a Loyal PUR ConsumerI’m in coastal Kenya about an hour drive from Mombasa to visit a program conducted by Aga Khan Foundation’s Coastal Rural Support Programme (CRSP). I first met with this Aga Khan Foundation group in 2005 when they conducted a pilot program that showed high acceptance of PUR. From mid-2007 to mid-2009, P&G funded a program for CRSP to promote PUR in the Kwale and Kilifi districts of coastal Kenya. And, there’s been some more recent support by PSI funded by USAID, but that also has ended. I thought it would be worth a visit to see what’s happening following the active funding period.
