Afghanistan: Plants Care Clinics, started with the help of Aga Khan Foundation

Plant health clinics started in August 2010 with the joint efforts of CABI and the Aga Khan Foundation. Farmers brought grapes, apples, beans and other valuable crops to the plant doctors, seeking advice on how to control pests and diseases. The plant clinics are a simple yet elegant solution to a lack of good advisory services and limited access to support. This splendid pilot effort was led by Mr Ghulam Ali of CABI with the support of the Aga Khan Foundation.
