Every 15 minutes or so during her critical thinking class, Anna Nathani remembered having to walk out to go to the bathroom and vomit.
Pregnant with her son, Ilyan, and suffering from morning sickness, Nathani was nonetheless determined to finish the master’s in business administration program she’d started in January 2006 at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Nathani has worked for Abbott Labs since she graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2000. She creates e-learning courses for the Pharmaceutical Products Division.
But she had her sights set on an advanced degree.
“I felt like there was no differentiation factor between me and the person sitting next to me at work. There was a point where I said this four-year degree isn’t worth as much as when I graduated,” she said.
