  1. I feel good to see colorful Tajiki traditions and most vibrant Tajiki people. I am also glad that their life has changed for better in last 25 years. I know for sure, AKDN has played a big role, and therefore, now they are moving forward and finally out of the isolation. Nowadays, Tajikis are spread worldwide and some I see and meet in regular basis in Chicago. They are just good people to be with. They let me know how much AKDN is doing in their homeland and they inspire me.

  2. Recent meeting of Tajikistan, Pakistan, Russia, and Afghan President would prove a stepping stone in opening Pamir to the world. As Pamirs will be linked with Chitral Pakistan through Wakhan so very soon Pamiri people would be on the great Transit Route to the hot waters of Arabian Sea. The road will bring progress and economic prosperity in the area. AKDN has always been a guiding force and naturally Ismailis of Pakistan will have short travel to Badakhshan. Kharog is the capital of Badakhshan
