Fatima Dharsee Crerar, Managing Director – Summerhill Impact
Fatima is a leader in program strategy, design, and delivery. Under her direction, the Car Heaven program was expanded across Canada and, due to the program’s exceptional success, Summerhill Impact was selected to run Environment Canada’s Retire Your Ride – Canada’s Vehicle Recycling Program.
Fatima has fostered a career driven by conviction and passion and has strived to bring about permanent, positive, and tangible environmental change. Joining Summerhill in 2004, Fatima has dedicated her efforts to the activities and programs of Summerhill Impact. Her successful management of several different programs and initiatives lead to her being named as the Managing Director of Summerhill Impact in November 2008.
Fatima is an active volunteer, advising the Laidlaw Foundation’s Granting Committee on environmental issues, as a Board member for the Ontario Clean Air Alliance, and within the Ismaili Muslim community. In 2008, Fatima was trained by Mr. Al Gore to deliver The Climate Project’s presentation based on “An Inconvenient Truth.”
