THE Government has applauded the Aga Khan for the numerous investments in Uganda.
Speaking at the Imamat Day, the Government Chief Whip, Daudi Migereko, noted that the Aga Khan investments in the human resource, health sector, insurance, energy, banking and tourism had redefined the potential of the developing world.
The Imamat Day is an annual commemoration of the day His Highness the Aga Khan became the 49th hereditary Imam of the worldwide Shia Ismaili Muslim community.
Migereko informed the guests at the Kampala Serena Hotel last week that the projects initiated and promoted by the Aga Khan Development Network were strategic in nature and constitute long-term commitment to the future of Uganda
