Franchisee Adil Popatia receives official scroll from the town of Whitby

Jun 16, 2010 – WHITBY – The Town of Whitby is congratulating a local restaurant for a decade of service to the community.

Boston Pizza, located at the AMC plaza at 75 Consumers Dr. since 2000, has contributed more than $5,000 to the community through donations, sponsorships and fundraisers.

Franchisee Adil Popatia will receive an official scroll from East Ward Councillor Lorne Coe on behalf of the Town, congratulating staff for their efforts.

A cake-cutting ceremony to mark the event will be held on Thursday, June 17. Reception is at 6 p.m. with speeches following at 7 p.m. Invited guests include representatives from the Aga Khan Foundation World Partnership Walk, Canadian Epilepsy Alliance, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, YMCA and YWCA.
