Farouk Shamas Jiwa is an international development and foreign policy specialist whose work has been recognized by (among others) the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy and the Gordon Global Fellowship. Having worked previously for the Canadian International Development Agency and the Privy Council Office in Ottawa, Farouk will soon be based in Geneva, where he will be leveraging his experience in the public, nonprofit, and academic sectors to drive global efforts to increase the number of children who have access to immunizations and life-saving vaccines. He holds degrees from McGill, Cambridge and Harvard, and has spent over half his life in Africa.
