The Student Leadership Conference is UBC’s largest student run conference, providing over 1100 delegates with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through engaging workshops and speakers.

Faces #4: Alia Dharamsi
Alia is a fourth year Integrated Sciences who works with several on and off campus organizations including but
not limited to, Meal Exchange, AMS Food Bank, UBC Trek Program, and Let’s Talk Science. In August 2009, she
joined a team of university students to travel to Guatemala and volunteer in the village of San Miguel Duenas.

Faces #6: Naeem Mawji
Naeem is a third year chemical engineering student who is dedicated to International Community Service Learning. He recently established the Kuwasha initiative (see Kuwasha.org), a collaboration between the Masurura village, the Musoma District Council, and the UBC Centre for International Health.
