Carleton Library receives gift of Islamic books

On Monday, November 30th, the Library received a special gift from the Institute of Ismaili Studies in London England. It is a collection of all their in-print publications, over 60 in all, and may be viewed on their website: http://www.iis.ac.uk.

Among those in attendance at the book launch was Dr. Karim H. Karim, who is now a co-Director of the IIS and formerly the Director of the School of Journalism and Communications here at Carleton, President Roseann O’Reilly Runte, John Osborne, Dean of FASS, Margaret Haines, University Librarian and Trish O’Flaherty, Subject Specialist for Religion.
