Dr Vali Jamal, currently resident at Kampala, Uganda, has received endorsement for his book on Ugandan Asians from the Home Secretary of the UK government. Dr Jamal’s book [Ugandan Asians: Then and Now, Here and There, We Contributed, We Contribute] has now passed the 600-page landmark with June 2010 as self-published date. He’s still accepting inputs for his book. His blog vivaeastafrica.blogspot.com excerpts items from his book from time to time. Dr Jamal was the senior economist of the UN-ILO from 1976 to 2001.
