Before Dartmouth: Five-year competitor in ice hockey for Branksome Hall in Toronto, while also playing for the Mississauga Chiefs during her senior year … was team captain for her final two years and was an assistant captain for the three previous years … during her stint with the Chiefs the team won the Ontario Women’s Hockey League Championship in 2008-09 … also competed for the Toronto Aeros for two seasons and won multiple tournaments … made history becoming the only team in midget Aeros history to go undefeated in the regular season … was the top scoring defensemen in the PWHL and was a two-time winner of The Colleen MacKenzie Memorial Award, which is given to the most promising player in Junior AA … competed for Team Ontario and was invited to the U-18 Team Canada Selection Camp as a senior … two-time team MVP at Branksome … played rugby, soccer, swimming, track and cross country while at Branksome.
Personal: Sasha Nanji was born January 8, 1992 … daughter of Karim and Mina Nanji … has two brothers … brother, Adam, was drafted by the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League … interested in studying biology and medicine while at Dartmouth … enjoys reading and music and is also interested in writing for the school paper.
