Canadians Across the Country Join in Fight Against Global Poverty

25th World Partnership Walk in TorontoOTTAWA, May 31 /CNW Telbec/ – The 25th annual World Partnership Walk brought together tens of thousands of Canadians in seven cities across the country to fight poverty in the developing world. The largest event of its kind in Canada, the Walk this year is estimated to have attracted a record number of participants. Two more Walks are scheduled: Ottawa on June 7th and in Calgary on June 14th.

An initiative of Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) and its national network of volunteers, the Walk is organized every year in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, Kitchener and London.
