Rights of disabled

The Network for the Organization Working for People with Disabilities (NOWWPDP) will collaborate with the government and work in partnership with all key stakeholders to achieve the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, NOWWPDP President Amin Hashwani said.

“This is the beginning for us, as adults, to take this cause forward, and highlight its importance to broader society,” Hashwani added.

He was speaking on Thursday at a youth convention celebrating the collection of 687,300 signatures for the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities. The event was held at the Aga Khan University Auditorium.

This initiative is a joint collaboration between NOWPDP and Children Museum for Peace and Human Rights (CMPHR).

The environment was pumped up as children from different schools played skits, songs and a beautiful poem.
