One outgrowth of CG’s effort to strengthen national and regional capacities for knowledge sharing and advocacy is the CD-ROM “Programming Resources for Early Childhood Care and Development”. Created by CGECCD in collaboration with The World Bank Institute and produced in partnership with Aga Khan Foundation, Bernard van Leer Foundation, Christian Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the resource kit offers tools for developing a wide range of programmes to strengthen support for young children, their families, and communities wherever children are living in poverty and at risk of impeded development. Available in Spanish, Arabic, English, French, Russian, and Spanish, the CD-ROM is designed to support the work of development professionals, programme planners, trainers, policymakers, and child advocates. Two sections of the resource include videos, slide shows, and fact sheets aimed at raising awareness about the need for attention to ECCD.
