Not according to Farzan Poonawala, the 2008 Houston Walk Outstanding Ambassador and captain of Houston Helpers, winner of the Team High Award. “I’m just a normal child like everyone else. You just have to be willing to do it – to try.”
Don’t be fooled by his modesty, there is actually something very special about this 12-year-old. He may dream about becoming a doctor and count watching TV among his hobbies like his primary school peers, but what sets Farzan apart is his commitment to helping those less fortunate by raising contributions for the [Partnerships In Action] Walk. 2008 marked his fourth year of collecting sponsorships and winning the Outstanding Ambassador award for most funds raised.
