The University Graduation 2008
Aga Khan University in East Africa held two graduation ceremonies in Kenya and Uganda, where it has programmes in the fields of medicine, nursing and education.

Kenya
The 5th Graduation Ceremony was held on January 21, 2009 at the Aga Khan Pavilion, Nairobi, where 185 students completed degrees in the fields of medicine and nursing. The chief guest was Mr Joseph G.M. Massaquoi, Director, UNESCO, Nairobi Office and Regional Bureau for Science and ea_index11Technology in Africa.
Uganda
The 6th Graduation Ceremony was held on January 24, 2009 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, where 113 students completed degrees in the field of nursing. The chief guest was Dr Kenya-Mugisha Nathan, Director of Health Services, Clinical and Community, Uganda.
Tanzania
The 4th Graduation Ceremony was held on January 27, 2009 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Dar es Salam, where 172 students completed degrees in the field of nursing and education. The chief guest was Dr Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka, Under Secretary-General, United Nations (UN), and Director of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT).

it was a nice graduation we congratulate the graduants and AKU for the good support in Health education please extend to other regions like Rwanda Burundi and DRC infact you will strength the unit in great lakes

Was wonderful graduation for us and now am doing masters degree of nursing science at UCU being a product of AKU i commend all my tutors for producing good fruits. Am also heading whole mission area in Somalia as HEAD NURSE.
