My Red and Green Tie.
‘Why do you have to wear this red and green tie?’
It shows that I cannot lie.
It shows that I help in JK,
Whether it be March or May.
It shows that I respect others,
It could be children or mothers.
‘Why do you have to wear this red and green tie?’
It shows the importance of helping my brothers and sisters,
No matter if I get 1,000 blisters.
I have to do a lot of work,
But, not just me, it requires teamwork.
‘Why do you have to wear this red and green tie?’
Because it symbolises me,
You may be able to see.
To do duty, I go JK every Friday,
Everyone knows that I am here to stay.
‘Why do you have to wear this red and green tie?’
It helps people know that I am here to serve,
Whether it be in a straight line or a curve.
It makes me feel strong,
And, I have others to help me along.
‘Why do you have to wear this red and green tie?’
It tells me that I am not absolutely independent,
Because we are all bricks, towered together with cement (IMAM).
I find out what I am here for,
Whether I be rich or poor.
‘Why do you have to wear this red and green tie?’
It makes me understand that everyone is unique,
No matter how you look or speak.
We all should realise that everyone is special,
whether or not they wear my RED AND GREEN TIE!!!!
