Rumina Daya is an award winning journalist who has covered stories all over the world, including the war in Afghanistan and the Tsunami in Sri Lanka, for which she won an RTNDA (Radio-Television News Directors Association) award.
Originally from Calgary, she graduated with a Communications degree with a major in journalism at Mount Royal College.

My mom and I were discussing television news reporters that we like in
Vancouver and we found that you made the top of our list. We did some
research on some of the stories you’ve covered including awards and
recognitions and we were impressed by what you have done. We enjoy seeing
you on GlobalTV BC as you seem passionate and caring about the local
stories you cover. Kudos to you Rumina, and keep up the great work.
