Immunisation stressed to ensure healthy child development: programme organised by the Aga Khan Health Board

The speakers at a programme organised by the Aga Khan Health Board, Garden, on Sunday underlined the importance of initiating immunisation to ensure healthy child development.

Chairman, Aga Khan Education Service Pakistan, Habib Peer, urged the parents to understand child psychology and ensure healthy child development. Dr Ali Khan S Khuwaja, Chairman, Local Health Board, Garden, emphasised on the importance of health, growth monitoring and timely immunisation in childhood. He also talked about child abuse, which disturbed psychology of children.

The ceremony was organised to award “Best Attendance Award” to those children who have attended “Maternal and Child Health Centre” on regular basis with the objective of growth monitoring and immunisations. About750 children were awarded who had met the set criteria for eligibility of the award.
