Besides performing at numerous Jamati events during GJ, the Band has lead several civic events, such as the Indian and Pakistani Procession / Parade in the month of August of 2007 and the Asian American Coalition of Chicago’s Annual Gala Dinner on January 26, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

  3. Ya Ali Madad Mr. Sadruddin,

I am the band captain of the newly established Pipe Band in Melbourne Australia. It is really a pleasure you all performing so well in uniform and processing such an important event. May Mowla give you more energy and Khidmat.

As we here are in the process of establishment of the pipe band, I would really appreciate your help in the same regards. We are also looking into the establishment and development of a logo at the moment and would really appreciate if you could provide a sample of your logo and give us information on any other Ismaili Pipe Band in USA. As we fall under the USA council we will have to look into what already has been done before proposing something.

Will really appreciate your positive and earliest possible reply

With many thanks and best regards,

  4. Dear Captain Zeeshan Rahim, MAWLA ALI MADAD:

    CONGRATULATINS!

I am glad to learn that there will be a Pipe Band in Melbourne, Australia.

At this time in USA we have six Pipe Bands and the members are from all walk of life and nationalities, we all are doing fine with our Pipe Band activities.

Also, we have seven Flute Bands (managed by our Youth Board, under the Ismaili Council in each region), and I understand each flute band has about 50 or more children age 10 to 15.

In Chicago at this time we are 25 active pipe band members who attend (by invitation) almost all of the Jamati celebrations and events. And, occasionally we also lead the processions of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan’s Independence Day Parades and other government and civic events for nominal charges (not for profit, just to cover the cost of our instrument and other expenses).

Midwest Ismaili Pipe Band is located in Chicago and our founding Captain is Mr. Ghulam Farooq Hassanali and he could be reached at: mrfarooq786@gmail.com

I am one of the founder of the Midwest Ismaili Pipe Band. I could be reached at SadruddinNoorani@aol.com

Captain Farooq and I are former members of the Karimabad Pipe Band, Karachi, Pakistan.

If we can be of any help to the creation of a new band in your city, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to guide and assist you.
