Born in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Sher Nasser spent her formative years around the beautiful coastlines of East Africa. Inspired by the gorgeous vistas surrounding her, Sher’s interest in drawing started early. However, it was not until many years later and after moving to Canada and raising her children, that Sher discovered the joyful world of painting.
Inspired by radiant colors, light and shadow, Sher’s creative forces have enabled her to extend her skills into a variety of forms. Excelling in floral watercolors, Sher also creates breathtaking landscapes, realistic still-lives, and life-like portraits in a variety of media.
Presently living in British Columbia, Sher is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and is fully involved with the Port Coquitlam Art Focus group. Her superb dedication, hard work and possessing a strong love of nature and human life, has enabled Sher to successfully complete a number of commissioned works of art that adorn many homes and professional offices.
A proud supporter of many charities, Sher is always happy to donate her paintings and time to worthy causes.
