Pakistani politician lauds Ismaili community – announces road naming

Hyderabad Nazim distributes cheques

HYDERABAD: District Nazim, Hyderabad, Kanwar Naved Jamil, has lauded the contribution of the Aga Khani community in the development of the city. He was speaking at a ceremony here on Friday to distribute cheques among the people who had provided their agricultural land for the construction of a road linking Hyderabad-Hala Road with Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas Road.

He said the Aga Khan community had played a crucial role in the development of Hyderabad and lauded the community for extending help in constructing the link road. He announced that a road of the city would be named after Prince Karim Aga Khan. Earlier, the Nazim distributed relief cheques of Rs 2.5 million among the people affected by the construction of the road. DCO Hyderabad Barkat Ahmad Rizvi and other concerned officers attended the ceremony.
