Although you would consider Ashfaq Mohammed, a budding Architect, recently winning 2nd place in a university competition to design the new Smart Car dealership and having already exchanged ideas with some of the biggest and well known architectural companies such as RTKL and SOM.
His true love is Art, steaming from the support he received from the early years in his place of worship where he was able to test the waters with his creativity. An Ismaili Muslim, a group not afraid to help young talent grow, with its vast number of organized activities which derive from devotion, helped his aptitude for Art.
During his high school years he also received the Congressional Art award, handed to him by congresswomen Jan Schokowsky, 9th congressional district Illinois. While his painting received an abundant amount of attention hanging in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. this wasn’t enough for an aspiring artist.
He started his own company Studio Rendering, Inc., almost a first in the industry of Architecture, which combines Art and Illustration with Architecture. Similar to the days where an Architect would hire a famous illustrator to bring to life his design in a mural, Ashfaq is doing something similar for Architects on an 3D Animation software on the computer.
His work is seen in the local newspaper or in the ads being placed by some of the most prominent developers in the nation, Studio Rendering is amongst the first in the industry of Architecture and may be becoming a growing trend for inspiring artist.
