Altaf Ladak is Deputy CEO & Chief Marketing Officer and a founding member of Roshan, Afghanistan’s leading Telecom operator.

Roshan is part of the Aga Khan Development Network which is focused on implementing sustainable development programs in emerging markets. Given Roshan’s heritage, the company aims to be a driver in the reconstruction of Afghanistan by facilitating communication in rural areas, creating jobs, and investing in local communities to drive sustainable development.

Under Altaf’s leadership over the past four years, Roshan has received significant global recognition, winning two awards for Best Brand, an award for Best Emerging Markets Operator and a Special Recognition for Corporate Philanthropy.

Altaf has significant international marketing experience having worked in US and Europe, primarily in the areas of expanding companies’ international, regional and global divisions.

Altaf has an MBA from Cornell University and over fifteen years of experience in branding, international marketing and strategic development.
