A friend of mine invited me to go with him to a reception tonight at Lewis Ginter Park Botanical Gardens (yes, I was just there yesterday). There was an exhibit by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture on some of their restoration work worldwide. (Aga Khan is the title associated with their spiritual leader.)

While doing so, they are careful to employ local people in the hopes of helping them out of poverty and having local people to continue the care and maintenance of the sites they restore. One of the speakers called their work “faith in action.” That sounded awfully familiar to my ears, given my Southern Baptist upbringing.
