Damascus, (SANA) – Minister of Higher Education Ghiath Barakat met on Saturday with President of Agha Khan University Firoz Rasul, and discussed with him potential cooperation in improving the scientific capabilities of the nursing faculties at Aleppo and al-Baath universities, in addition to the possibility of establishing a shared master’s degree with Tishreen university.
The two parties reviewed possibilities of cooperation in developing curriculums in nursing faculties and schools and improving the level of nursing graduates by giving them the opportunity to receive distinguished academic education and higher studies in nursing management and services.
Barakat affirmed that his ministry is keen on improving cooperation between nursing faculties in Syrian universities and the Agha Khan University in the field of preparing academic staff for teaching at these faculties.
For his part, Rasul reviewed the most important services provided by the university, expressing desire to deepen and develop cooperation with Syrian universities in all scientific specializations, particularly in the field of nursing. Rasul pointed out to the Nursing Quality Improvement Program established by Agha Khan University and the Syrian Ministries of Health and Higher Education.
