Aga Khan Foundation Pakistan to build two new schools in Muzaffarabad Pakistan

Mansehra, NWFP, August 09, 2007 – The Aga Khan Foundation, Pakistan, an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is soon to build two new schools in Muzaffarabad as part of reconstruction and development plan in the region after the earthquake of 2005.

The groundbreaking of the two new schools – Government Boys Middle School and the Government Boys Primary School – was carried out by Lt. General Nadeem Ahmed, Deputy Chairman – Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) accompanied by the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Aga Khan Development Network’s – Multi-Input Earthquake Reconstruction Programme (AKDN – MERP); the Chief Executive Officer of the Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan) and senior officials who visited Garhi Habibullah (District Mansehra), and Chakhama Village (District Muzaffarabad) to perform the ceremony.
