Uganda’s Oil Boom Or Doom – Where’s the Math?

3 June 2007 – The Monitor – Dr Ian Clark in the Sunday Vision of 6 May painted a very optimistic picture of the impact of oil on Uganda’s economy. Later in his article he made amends for the historical negative impacts of oil in most African countries. The economist Vali Jamal shows that the negative impacts are almost endemic to oil.
