AKF Partnership Golf 2007

Partnership Golf is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. (AKF USA) to raise funds and awareness to help communities in some of the poorest areas of Africa and Asia create long-term solutions to poverty. Inspired by the tremendous success of Partnership Walk, now in its 12th year in the U.S, Partnership Golf offers Americans a unique opportunity to create awareness about international development while enjoying a day out on the green with friends and colleagues. Partnership Walks have been held in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles for the past 11 years, attracting over 212,000 participants and raising over $26 million nationwide.

As a private, non-denominational, nonprofit international development organization, the Foundation is committed to alleviating poverty, hunger, disease and illiteracy, primarily in Africa and Asia. It works with communities at the grassroots level to build their skills and strengthen local institutions to create a greater range of choices and help them lift themselves out of poverty. The Foundation is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a group of private development working to empower communities and individuals, often in disadvantaged circumstances.

Addressing economic, social and cultural development challenges holistically, AKDN agencies work for the common good of all citizens, regardless of their gender, origin or religion.

Net proceeds raised through Partnership Golf go directly to projects supported by the Foundation. AKF USA is non-profit, tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Service code. http://www.akdn.org
