British Council, Aga Khan Board exams not postponed

Examinations conducted by British Council and Aga Khan Board will be held on Monday as per schedule announced earlier.

Although Sindh Education Department has announced holiday in the educational institutions and postponed all the papers scheduled for Monday owing to law and order situation in the city, the examinations held under British Council and Aga Khan Board will be held as per schedule.

According to an official of British Council, since the examinations were being held across the globe simultaneously the papers could not be postponed in the city.

The official said that a meeting was held with DIG Karachi who assured that security would be provided to the all examination venues.

Similarly, AGB spokesman said that examinations would be held as per schedule, however, the paper that was to be held on Saturday was postponed. The AGB papers that started from Friday (May 11) would continue for one week.

At the same time, parents have appealed to the government to ensure security for their childen so that they can give their papers without fear.

Many parents have said that while the venues of the examinations are in relatively safe areas, the problem would be to get their children to the exam centres on time and also to return from these centres to their respective homes safe and sound.
