The nursing community across the globe will celebrate International Nurses Day on May 12.
The theme for this year is ‘Positive Practice Environments: Quality Work-places Enhance Quality Patient Care’. The Day is to commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing. The Nursing College of Aga Khan University (AKU) has chalked out a day-long programme at AKU auditorium. The events of the day will include seminars, symposia, talk shows and skits highlighting importance of the day as well as the importance of nursing profession in context of Pakistan.
AKU nursing students will present their respective studies, while during an interactive session nurses, pertaining to different health care facilities are expected to discuss their problems and difficulties.
