Mentoring makes Susan UK woman of the future

The chief executive officer of a financial company in Fernhurst has been named a UK Woman of the Future for her voluntary work in mentoring other women both in and out of the work place.

Susan Payne, of Emergent Asset Management Ltd, was selected from a high-profile shortlist of leading professionals of 2006.

Her award was presented in front of an audience of 600 people at the London Hilton in Park Lane.

Tony Blair’s wife Cherie Booth, Ruth Kelly, the minister for women, actress Jane Asher, Gloria Hunniford and the Princess Zahra Aga Khan were among those attending the event, which was sponsored by Shell and hosted by Real Business magazine.
