University of Toronto Pays Tribute to Aga Khan IV’s Enduring Legacy in Canada and Beyond

The University of Toronto has published an article commemorating the life and contributions of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, the 49th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community, who passed away recently. The article highlights his extensive philanthropic efforts, particularly in education and cultural preservation, and reflects on his strong ties with Canada, including the establishment of the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto.

Countless Canadians have benefited from His Highness’s contributions to our country and have participated in his endeavours to improve the lives of the less fortunate around the world. He will be deeply missed.

Shafique Virani, Associate professor of historical studies at U of T Mississauga.
