Dr Shela Hirani is a University of Regina researcher and lactation consultant. The Women Executive Network has recognized her as one of Canada’s 100 most powerful women. Dr Hirani has worked to dismantle breastfeeding barriers and support breastfeeding practices for refugee and immigrant mothers. She was recently interviewed by CBC Regina, Saskatchewan.

Dr Shela Hirani is a renowned, multiaward-winning maternal and child health nursing professional, global health leader, researcher, and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with 20+ years of experience in academia (within and outside Canada).
