A new publication by Dr. Azim Jiwani titled Humanizing Medicine: Making Health Tangible  – Memoirs of engagement with a Global Development Network, chronicles almost 40 years of involvement in global health challenges, medical education and institution capacity building in parts of Asia and Africa. The book attempts to trace historical, policy and institutional landmarks of over a century that resulted in the stark inequalities in development trajectories of the low-income countries of the Global South and the industrialized North.
