The reflecting pools of light incandescently Shimmer,
smiling with Infinite grace at the moon.
Refracting, translucent azure spaces
Showers of streaking rain mingle with the light from the angular dome.
Who art thou? I’m a traveller, speeding towards the light
My love for the light is akin to a moth’s love for this iridescent face.

In this garden of eternal wisdom, resides the fountainhead of all knowledge
I am the gardener, cultivating the soil. I am the butterfly spreading the pollen.
In this Eden the tree of knowledge is not forbidden, I have eaten it’s fruits.
Join me in this timeless space to contemplate the beauty of existence and infinity.
Let us dissolve into nothingness as we become the garden
I am the water in the fountain, the breeze drifting through the light and dark.
I am the light intermingling with the shadows
I am the mosaic of love and the pillars of peace
In this architectural gem, I am the architect.

Afraaz Mulji – aka Maestro Mi – is a nineteen-year-old multi-instrumentalist and composer born in Tanzania. Mulji shared this passion recently in early December 2018 during a charity concert in Dar es Salaam to a full house crowd of 200 people, raising money for a charity who cares for orphans with HIV and learning disabilities.
The Honourable Mobina S.B. Jaffer, Q.C, Senator for British Columbia, Canada recently sent Afraaz a letter congratulating him for his effort not only for his charity concert, but his dedication towards his craft and advocacy for the arts and music.
