On Fri, 12 October 2018 The Citizens Foundation (TCF) Canada is pleased to host a spectacular evening with the Oscar and Emmy award-winning Director, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, for the screening of her documentary, “Song of Lahore.” at the Aga Khan Museum.
Song of Lahore (2015)
Song of Lahore focuses on the traditional music community of Lahore, placing the spotlight on Sachal Studios and charters the ensemble’s journey to reclaim and reinvigorate the art that was once lost in adverse times. It takes you on a soul-stirring venture as they perform with their sitar and tabla reinterpretations of jazz standards with Wynton Marsalis at the Lincoln Center in New York.
